Dr. Vo’s Practice Philosophy Statement

As a naturopathic physician, my goals are to promote wellness in every patient that I treat through education, which I believe is the most important key element in the healing process. I believe that the patient is an active member of the health team and the doctor is the health coach providing resources and options of care. I believe in the innate healing power of the body and patients can make positive changes to turn on this healing ability.

My job is to provide my clients with tools to maintain their health so they can continue to be productive and functional members of their families and communities. I whole-heartedly believe in a Foods as Medicine approach—in the healing powers of whole foods since healthful changes of diet and lifestyle can have major positive impact in heath. I believe in integrating the most advanced medical technologies with the ancient wisdom of naturopathic medical healing arts to provide exceptional care to my patients. Part of my job as a physician is to provide comprehensive assessment and accurate diagnosis of patient’s problems—with complete history taking, physical exam, and testing. I also believe in working together with other health practitioners to provide a strong network of support for the patients. And lastly, I believe in all the principals of naturopathic medicine—where the emphasis of health is on Prevention and not the treatment of Diseases and the focus of treatment is on the Whole Body and not on symptoms of an illness.

At Restore Balance Natural Health Center, everyone is treated equally with compassion and respect. Wellness and preventive medicine are highly promoted and all patients are encouraged to take part in restoring balance in their life and to embark on an educational and healing journey to reclaim what’s rightfully theirs—healthy, productive, purposeful, and long-lasting life.
