Adrenal Function Assessment
Below is a list of symptoms often seen in the cases of adrenal insufficiency or adrenal fatigue:
- Lingering mild fatigue after exertion or stress
- Get tired and exhaust easily
- Craving for salty foods
- Sensitive to minor changes in weather and surroundings
- Dizzy when rising or standing up from a kneeling position
- Dark bluish or black circles under your eyes
- Catch colds or infections easily
- Wounds heal slowly
- Feel puffy and swollen all over your body
- Skin is gradually tanning without exposure to sun or the ingestion of high levels of carotene-rich foods (e.g: carrot juice) or supplements
- Feel more tired after exercise, “exercise intolerance”
- Feel sensitive to bright light or sunlight – need to wear sun glasses often
- Having frequent urination without symptoms of urinary tract infection, feeling like water just “goes through” the body
- Having premenstrual syndrome symptoms or fertility issues
- Feel run down, irritable, “can’t cope any longer” kind of stress
- Feel anxious and edgy with heart palpitations, insomnia, etc…
- Having chronic muscle and join pain problem
- Been diagnosed with bone loss (osteopenia, osteoporosis)
- Poor memory, difficulty with concentration
- Experiencing alcohol intolerance
- Chemically sensitive to all strong odors, fumes, etc…
- Low thyroid functions – fatigue, easy weight gain, low body temperature
- Problems with regulating blood sugar – tendency for low blood sugar
